You probably already know that you can enter azimuths or distances between two points implicitly by entering from-number comma to-number. For example, "12355,12366" is an expression for the azimuth or distance from point 12355 to point 12366.
In most cases, especially in the COGO tool, the from-number has already been entered in the From box, so why should you have to re-enter it? Well, now you don't! For example, if "12355" is already in the From box, then ",12366" is now a valid expression for the azimuth or distance from 12355 to 12366. It even works for offset expressions, so, if "12355" is already in the From box, "L,12366" is now a valid expression for a left offset equal to the distance from 12355 to 12366.
The “face left bug” in the Field modules — where VC values in the region of 270° caused negative distances and shots landing behind the observer — has been discovered and fixed.

If you have checked Auto export coordfiles to Ascii on closing, in General Program Settings, then Copan automatically saves a list of coordinates in fixed-text format whenever a coordfile is closed. The precision of the coordinates has now been increased from 4 to 10 decimals.
A map traverse file can now have comment lines. A valid comment line begins with zero or more spaces or tabs, then has two commas (,,), periods (..), slashes (//), semi-colons (;;), or backslashes (\\), which are followed by any character string. Comments are not processed or stored as point notes (but are saved within the traverse file). Use them to temporarily remove an observation or to annotate a traverse.
A map traverse file can now have differential azimuth corrections.
A differential azimuth correction,
da=value, in the Correction column
adds the value to the “current” azimuth correction value for subsequent azimuth corrections.
(This is not the same as a relative azimuth correction,
ac=value,
where the value is added to the original “head” azimuth correction value for subsequent azimuth corrections.)
You can now use the Export... button to export the current map traverses (starting from where you specify), in ESRI Traverse File format. You specify the location and file name (the default being the current folder and current map traverse file, without the .mt) and Copan will save to file-name\file-name.txt (that's the funny way ArcGIS expects it). It uses the saved coordinates for the start and end of each traverse, and the interpreted (after corrections have been applied) but unadjusted map traverse data.
Occaisionally, you'd like to use an already entered traverse but in the reverse direction. You can now use the Reverse button to reverse the current map traverses (from last to first), each one in reverse point order. It uses the interpreted (after corrections have been applied) traverse data, so if you want the “raw” data reversed, you must first temporarily remove the corrections.
