Multiple Inverse Calculations

Sometimes you'd like to do several inverse calculations, between one at point and multiple to points. Use this special-purpose coordinate geometry module to calculate sets of

bearings (or directions) and distances,
angles (from a reference direction) and distances, or
distances (or chainages or stations) and offsets (along and from a reference line),

from one point to a set of other points, in a coordfile.

To Calculate Many Inverses

From the Calculation menu, choose Multiple Inverses.

Calculation | Multiple Inverses...
Choose an Output Values option.
Choose a To Points option — All points or a Filtered set (see § Point Filters).
Enter the At Point number.
Enter the Reference Point number or Reference Bearing, as appropriate.
Calculate or OK.

To compute multiple inverses: choose Angle Distance, Bearing Distance, or Distance Offset, enter the At point and Reference point or Bearing, and click Calculate.

When entering a bearing (or azimuth), you may use a § Bearing Expression.
