Copan typically prints lines of up to 100 characters to the info.display.txt file. The best settings to use — to get all the data printed across the page — depend on whether your printer has N. American Letter or International A4 paper, and are as follows (these are Notepad terms and may be slightly different in another editor):
| Font: | Courier New |
| Style: | Regular |
| Size: | 9 |
File | Page Setup...
| Paper Size: | Letter (N. America) | A4 (International) |
| Left and Right Margins: | 0.45 inch (or 11 mm) | 8 mm (or 0.3 inch) |
| Orientation: | Portrait | Portrait |
If you need to use a larger font size, or larger margins, you'll need to use Landscape Orientation, else you'll probably get messy looking printouts:
| Font: | Courier New |
| Style: | Regular |
| Size: | 11 |
File | Page Setup...
| Paper Size: | Letter (N. America) | A4 (International) |
| Left and Right Margins: | 0.75 inch (or 19 mm) | 28 mm (or 1.1 inch) |
| Orientation: | Landscape | Landscape |
If you prefer to use something other than Notepad, there is a way of telling Copan to use that editor (assuming you have it installed) instead:
