1997-1998 Cadastral Data Capture - Burrard IR#3, Enderby IR#2, & East Saanich IR#2

Data capture for this job was performed in PenMetrics FieldNotes software. This software has been enhanced with in-house coordinate geometry (COGO) routines based on Underhill's proprietary ProSurvC software.

The scope of work involved the input of RSBC, LTO, and CLSR plans using NAD'83 and supplied control points, searching of titles, ordering charge documents and plans from the LTO and their input into NRC's cadastral base using NAD83 control. FieldNotes was used to enter, compute closures and adjust data entered via COGO. This Data was annotated, topologically processed and cleaned then delivered to the Government in AutoCAD format.

1997 Cadastral Data Capture - Alaska Highway and Adjacent Parcels Between Jake's Corner and Teslin

This project involved capturing Alaska Highway and adjacent cadastral fabric between Jake's Corner and Teslin,YT. Underhill's proprietary coordinate geometry (COGO) software Prosurv-C was used to enter, compute closures, adjust, and produce DXF files of the captured data. The line work was imported into AutoCAD through DXF. Annotation, layering and other edits were performed in AutoCAD. A strict layering scheme was adhered to, insuring proper translation into the clients CARIS GIS.

In addition to capturing new cadastral data, existing digital data was shifted from NAD27 to NAD83 and tied to the new mapping.

1995 Cadastral Data Capture - Anaheim Flats 1, and Enderby 2 Indian Reserves

This project involved the production of Cadastral mapping of reserves listed above. Cadastral data was captured from legal plans via coordinate geometry (COGO) using ProSurv-C (an in-house proprietary COGO/CAD software package). ProSurv-C was used to enter, compute closures, adjust, and produce DXF files of the compilation and the original boundary dimension information.

This data was then brought into AutoCAD for final data screening and plotting. The CAD data was delivered in AutoCAD release 12 format, and RESULTS.

1994 Production of Descriptive Map Plans of Inuit Owned Land, Nunavut Tunngavik Inc.
DMP333

This project involved the production of over 200 digital descriptive map plans at a scale of 1:100,000, depicting 1156 parcels of Inuit owned land within the Nunavut Settlement Area, comprising some 137,450 square miles of the N.W.T. The plans showed the artificial and natural boundaries of each parcel and the topographic detail associated with the location of the parcel corners.

The plans were compiled from Inuit Owned Lands Ownership Maps, 1:250,000 National Topographic Data Base (NTDB) structured digital files and the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement.

1993 Digital Atlas Production - Inuvialuit Final Agreement

This project involved the production of a digital atlas, in AutoCAD release 12 format, of the Mainland and Banks Island sections of the Inuvialuit Land Claim. The atlas forms the Official Plan of the claim. The final products were an 84 sheet (Mainland), and a 40 sheet (Banks Island) digital atlas containing the surveyed boundaries of the claim along with the digitization of hydrographic features within 2500 metres of the boundary.

Areas of the various land classifications within the claim were generated in Terrasoft GIS.

City of Coquitlam

1997-1999 Research and Cadastral Data Capture of Easements and Rights-of-Way

Data capture for this job was performed in PenMetrics FieldNotes software. This software has been enhanced with in-house coordinate geometry (COGO) routines based on Underhill's proprietary ProSurv-C software. The scope of work included the searching of titles, ordering charge documents and plans from the LTO and their input into Coquitlams cadastral base using NAD83 control.

FieldNotes was used to enter, compute closures and adjust data entered via COGO. This Data was annotated, topologically processed and cleaned then delivered to the City in CARIS format.

Regional District of Central Kootenay

1996 Cadastral Data Capture - Electoral Areas A,B,C and Town of Creston

The deliverable product for this project was a seamless spatial database in Terrasoft GIS with linkages to the Regional District's Property Control System. The cadastral mapbase sources include 1:20 000 BC Crown Lands datasets in IGDS and ARC/INFO formats, and BCGS 1:5,000 maps.

The compiled cadastral map base was topologically processed and cleaned.

Cariboo Regional District

1994 - 1995 Cadastral Compilation from Existing BC Government IGDS and ARC/INFO format Crown Lands files and scanned BCGS analogue sources and GIS linking

The deliverable product for this project was a seamless spatial database in Terrasoft GIS with linkages to the Regional District's Property Control System. The cadastral mapbase sources include 1:20 000 BC Crown Lands datasets in IGDS and ARC/INFO formats; scanned BCGS maps; and survey plans.

Georeferencing was controlled with TRIM cadastral ties and the TRIM 1:20 000 digital planimetric base. The compiled cadastral map base was topologically processed and cleaned in PC ArcCAD.

The cadastral base, which consists of approximately 9500 parcels, was linked to the BC Assessment Authority data in the Property Control System.
